Are You Living with Prolonged Grief?
Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD) occurs when a person who has lost a loved one is so incapacitated by grief that you cannot care about anything else. It is experienced by 1 in 10 of bereaved survivors.
You may be experiencing PGD if you are unable to adjust to life without your loved one. You may experience emotional numbness, bitterness, intense yearning for your loved one, constant thoughts of death, or confusion about your own identity.
If these symptoms persist for an extended period of six months or more after your loss, you may be suffering from PGD.
